Dr. Larry Harris of  Fayetteville passed on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 1pm at Abney Chapel SDA Church in Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park.

Dr. Larry Harris leaves to mourn the love of his life, his wife of 38 years Bertie; his daughter Michelle, and his son Larry, Jr.  They are his pride and joy.   Larry was the second oldest of ten children born to SGM (RET) Fred and Ruth Harris.  Nine siblings, three of whom preceded him in death- (Fred Harris, III, DDS–deceased, (Karen), Deborah Harris,Ph.DMitchell Harris, (Pamela,) Michael Harris-deceased, Mabel Hines, (Gregory-deceased),COL (RET) Dyfierd Harris ( Karen), Joseph Harris–deceased,Freda Harris and Ruth Harris. His brother-in-law, Archie Mitchell was also greatly cheerished. A host of neices, nephews,  cousins, other relatives and friends complete the lists of those who will miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 5-7pm at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations.
