Marvin Edward Nixon, 61, of 2225 Shaw Rd Fayetteville, died Monday, January 09, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10:30am at Williams Chapel Church in Spring Lake with Apostle Kimberly Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Bragg.

Mr. Nixon was a US Army veteran.

He is survived by his son and daughters, Marvin Nixon Jr. and Bricknie Nixon both of Fayetteville and Renee Richardson of Broadway. Brothers and sisters, Bobby Nixon of Fayetteville, Michael Nixon, Sr. Martin Nixon, Milton Nixon, Victor Cameron, Alexander Cameron, James Thomas Nixon and Andrew Nixon all of Fayetteville. Joyce Walker and Jackie Nixon both of Columbus, Ga. and William Nixon of Charlotte. Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:30am until time of service.
