Mildred (Carmichael) Aekins-Murriel

Mildred Aekins-Murriel , 95, of 4082 McKeithan Street, Wade, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 12 noon at Wesley Chapel AME Zion Church in Wade. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

She is survived by her daughters, Essie McNeill, Patsy Graham, Betty Strater, Helene Walters and Grander Aekins, all of Wade. Eunice Murphy and Naomi Calloway both of Fayetteville and Regina Aekins of Stanford, CT. A son, Henry Lorenzo Aekins of Mt. Vernon, NY. A sister, Inez Brandon of Wade, along with nineteen grandchildren and  twenty-eight great grandchildren and a niece and two nephews she raised as her own, Beverly Debrick of Killeen, TX and Bishop Stanford Aekins of Fayetteville and Huell Aekins of Wade.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7pm
