Mildred Hunt

Mildred W. Hunt, 72, of 3470 Thorndike Drive, Fayetteville, died on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Cape Fear Medical Center.

The funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 1pm at Herring Funeral Care Chapel.  Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Park.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memories: a son, John R. Hunt, III; two daughters, Tracy Hunt-White (Don), and Tisha H. Edmonds (Claude); eight grandchildren, Amber Hunt, Tadarius Hunt, M’Tari Hunt, Ja’iere Hunt, Me’lange Hunt, Nathan White, Samir Hunt, and Brandon Edmonds.  She is preceded in death by two siblings, Charles Wright and Samuel Wright.  She leaves behind seven siblings, Foster Wright, Exel Wright, Eyvonne Porter, Pauline Williams, Veronica Allen, William Wright, and Gloria Jones.  Also surviving is Mildred’s loving life partner, Odell McGougan and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations on Wednesday from 11am – 1pm.
