Virginia Matthews Obituary

Virginia Lee Matthews, 94, of 6244 Hackberry Road, Hope Mills, formerly of Wade, died Sunday, September 09, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 12 noon at Wesley Chapel AME Zion Church in Wade with Rev. Johnnie Council officiating. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park.

She is survived by a son, Alander Matthews (Tammy) of Wade. Daughters, Etrula Britton (Henry) of Fayetteville, Brenda Britton (Larry) of Wade and Lillie Matthews of Hope Mills. Step sister, Beulah Carver of Fayetteville, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and a great great-grandchild also survive.

A viewing will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 2-4pm.
