Aurelia (Jones) Wright

Aurelia Wright, 80, of 2521 Vestal Avenue, Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, July 08, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center,

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11am at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumber Bridge.

She is survived by her husband, Estell Wright of the home. Daughters, Avis Simmons of Upper Marlboro, MD and Bernetta Wright of Fayetteville. A son, Drexel Wright of Goldsboro. Sisters, Mary Helen McMillan of Wagram, Annie Lee McMillan of MI and Sherron McMillan of Durham. Brothers, Carnell McMillan, Charlie Pete McMillan, Raymond McMillan and Gregory McMillan, all of Laurinburg, along with twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 5-7pm.
