Bishop Darnell Wiggs, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Newark, DE.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11am at Hood Memorial AME Zion Church in Fayetteville.

His memory will be lovingly cherished by his wife, Linda Wiggs; children Sharon Wiggs -Steele, Velma Wiggs – Smith, and Bishop Donald Wiggs (LaDoris). Two sisters, Ruth Burris and Nadine Weathersby. Seven grandchildren: Demotus Weeks, Daryl Weeks, Tia Wiggs, Tierra Wiggs-Tolbert, Donald Kirkland, Blake Wiggs, Briana Smith, Steven Lewis, and Cherie Ben, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, church members, church leaders, neighbors, friends, and all who cared for him

A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10am until 11am, prior to the service.
