Catherine Elizabeth (Jackson) Sample

Catherine Elizabeth Sample, 81, of 3316 Red Fox Road, Spring Lake, passed away on Sunday, July 07, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11am at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Spring Lake.

She is survived by her husband, James Sample, Sr. of the home. A son, James Sample, Jr. (Sharon) of Newport News, VA;  daughters, Idena Bailey and Isabella Parker (James Sr.), both of Spring Lake. A sister, Rosie Shockley of Berlin, MD, along with eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and four godchildren.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10am-11am, prior to the service.
