David Shelton Oates, Jr., 53, of 915 Pee Dee Road, Aberdeen, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, October 04, 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 1pm at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens,

He is survived by his sons, Davika McIntosh of Fayetteville and Amiah Oates of WA. Daughter, Davonna Oates of WA. His father, David S. Oates, Sr.of Bladenboro. Brothers, Andre Oates of NY and Gene Mincey of WA. Sisters, Phillipia Oates of Spring Lake, Lorraina Higgs of Fayetteville and Audrey Oates of Bladenboro, along with six grandchildren

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon -1pm..
