Obituary
Edessa Lois McGaddye, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC on Saturday, April 22, 2023, with her children at her bedside.
Memorial Services will be held at Abney Chapel Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2996 Rosehill Road, Fayetteville, NC on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifford McGaddye and is survived by her son, Anthony McGaddye (wife Thelma McGaddye) of Apopka, FL and daughters Joan Daniels (spouse Anthony Daniels) and Jean Adeyeye of Fayetteville, NC, six grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
The immediate family has requested that in lieu of flowers or other donations, contributions can be made to The Edessa School of Fashion (https://edessa.fashion/story). If donations are made through the website, please specify in the Note section that it is in memory of Edessa Lois McGaddye, daughter of Edessa Meek-Dixon, the school’s namesake.
