Evangelist Geraldine Delores (Armstrong) Sheffield

Evangelist Geraldine A. Sheffield, 78, of 278 Buhman Drive, Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 1pm at Holiness Chapel Original Freewill Baptist Church in Godwin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Felicia Kline of Ewa Beach, HI and Teresa Thomason of Charlotte. Sisters, Linda Lyles and Evelyn Robinson, both of Philadelphia, PA, Elsie Gilmore of Fayetteville, Bernice Ridgel of Exton, PA, Renee Baldwin of Darby, PA and Esterlene Preston of Baltimore, MD. Brothers, Lawrence Baldwin, Larnell Baldwin and Steven Baldwin, all of Philadelphia, PA, Jimmy Short of Chester, PA and Tony Armstrong of Pensacola, FL. Grandchildren, Dayshonda Crawford, Lawrence Byrd, Lavon Byrd, Sha-quana Thomason, Leteaka Blakemore and Nicholas Thomason, along with twenty-four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 5-7pm.

The family has requested a pink theme for the funeral service.
