Gilbert Oates, II Obituary

Gilbert L. Oates, 78, of 143 Small Timber Lane, Raeford, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 12 noon at Bethel Christian Assembly in Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Oates of the home. A daughter, Tonya Mitchell of Spring Lake, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, along with three brothers, James Hailey of Fayetteville, William Hailey of Durham and Muriel Culbreth of Clinton.

A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11am-12noon.
