Gwendolyn Loayza

Gwendolyn Loayza, 76, formerly of New York City, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 in Sarasota, FL.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 1:30pm at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Levy Street Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Nestor Loayza of the home. Her children, Allen Loayza of MA, Chris Loayza of NJ and Jenny Samargo of MO, along with four grandchildren, Mazie Loayza, Carmen Loayza, Anya Loayza and Christopher Loayza.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from11:30am until 1:30pm, prior to the services.

Services will be live-streamed on Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Facebook page.

Repast will be at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens, 536 North Eastern Blvd., Fayetteville, NC immediately after the burial.
