Jerry Ambrose Cogdell

Jerry Cogdell, 67, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 03, 2025 at 2pm at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Cogdell of the home. Sons, Jeremy Whitted, Mario Cogdell, Travis Caldwell and Dontral Kivett, all of Clinton. Daughters, April Hair, Sharon Bryant and Natasha Whitted, all of Clinton.; a sister, Tonya Cogdell Smith and a brother, Ellis Cogdell both of Fayetteville. A sister-in-law, Myra Bridges Cogdell, an aunt, Mable Cogdell Smith, along with a host of grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-2pm.
