John Hood Jones, 92, of 3421 Bennett Drive, Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 02, 2026 at 12 noon at Evans Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones of the home. Sons, Christopher Jones of NY, Javan Jones of Cary and William Johnson and Richard Johnson, both of MD; a daughter, Angela Wilson of MD,

A viewing will be held at the church on Friday, January 02, 2026 from 11am-12noon, prior to the service.
