John Purcell, 75, of 801 Montgomery Street, Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, September 04, 2025.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 1pm at The Well of Living Waters Ministry, 117 West Mountain Drive, Fayetteville. Burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park

He is survived by his wife, Ruther Jane Elliott Purcell of Fayetteville, NC, and his children: John Purcell Jr of the home, Jay Purcell of Maryland, Nathaniel Benham of Maryland, Antwan Williams of Washington, D.C., Sarah Purcell Amerson (Joe) of Fayetteville, Initsha Godwin of Fayetteville, Ruth Ward (Edward) of Fayetteville, Claryce Boone (Jerry) of Maryland and Inita Elliott McLucas (Glenn) of Fayetteville. A sister, Mary Murray of Fayetteville, along with ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 5-7pm.
