Melvena Johnson

Melvena Johnson, 95, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Austell, Ga.

Funeral services by invitation only will be conducted on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 12 noon at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Northside Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories. Three daughters Virginia Owens, of Austell, GA. Linda Tucker (Ronnie), of Riverdale, GA. and Brenda Taylor (Jacques) of Atlanta, GA. Three sons. Glenn Johnson (Debra) of Virginia Beach, VA, Wayne Johnson (Donna) of Glendale, Arizona, and Wallace Johnson (Melody) of Stone Mountain, GA. A daughter in law Hazel Johnson of Fayetteville, NC. Her devoted grandson she always called her number eight baby, Sherriff Craig Owens (Sharon)  of Mableton, Ga. One brother Frank Breece (Betty)of Fayetteville, NC, Three sisters Allyne McMillian Bridgeport CT, Eula Price of Norwalk CT and Lee Anna Thomas (Tom) of Fayetteville, NC. Twenty grandchildren, Thirty-Three great-grandchildren, Twenty-Four great-great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews’ family and friends.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7pm
