Michael Mullen, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 12 noon at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn, of 24 years. His five children, Andrew Mullen, Keshan Dobbins, Ikwaan Dobbins, Stephon Wright (Vanessa) and Tammy Marie Mullen. Two brothers, Kenneth Mullen (Linda) and Matthew Ellis Mullen. Four sisters, Elmira Hawkins, Margaret Mullen-Whiting (Charles), Anita Mullen, and Delores Mullen, Four brothers-in-law, Basim Dobbins, Keith Dobbins, Fred Blankenship and Robert Jones (Daphne). Two sisters-in law, Cynthia Johnson(Walter) and Kemalin Vaughn (Ernest). 24 grandchildren, 12 great-grand children. A host of nieces and nephews, great friends and wonderful colleagues .
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11am-12noon, prior to the service.
