Mildred Lee Carter, 89, of 1892 Gola Drive, Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 08, 2025 at 3pm at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg at a later date.
She is survived by her husband, Retired CSM Ernest Carter of the home. Daughters, Jacqueline Battle, Valerie Love and Tammara Carter, all of Fayetteville. Sisters, Loisteen Sinclair, Virginia Jones, Diane Hickman, Carolyn Striblin and Denise Bell, all of Lumberton. A brother, James Bell of Lumberton, along with five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 08, 2025 from 1-3pm, prior to the service.
