Mr. Estell Wright

Mr. Estell Wright, 87, of 2521 Vestal Avenue, Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11am Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Church Cemetery in Lumber Bridge.

He is survived by a son, Drexel Wright of Goldsboro. Daughters, Avis Simmons of Upper Marlboro, MD, Bernetta Wright of Fayetteville and Diane Shaw of Richmond, VA. Sisters, Pauline Wright, Veronica Allen, Yvonne Porter and Gloria Wright, all of Fayetteville, along with twenty-three grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 5-7pm.
