Oranzie Odell Simmons

Oranzie Simmons, 89, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 1pm at Falling Run Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lessie Simmons of the home; daughters, Darlene Simmons, Sylvia Remigio, Jacqueline Simmons and Caroline Anderson, all of Fayetteville. Sons, Oranzie Simmons, Jr., Gary Simmons and Lorenzo Simmons, all of Fayetteville. Brothers, Bishop Willie Preston Simmons of Fayetteville and Charlie Scott Simmons of Johnsonville, SC; a sister, Carrie Lee Cook of Alberta, VA, along with thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

 A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 12-1pm, prior to the service.
