Robert Burns, Jr.

Robert Burns, Jr., 90, of Fuquay-Varina, passed away on Tuesday, April 07, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 12 noon at Baptist Union Missionary Baptist Church in Hope Mills. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery, Spring Lake with military honors.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Burns of the home. Daughters, Andrea Nesbitt of Newburg, NY and Akilah Burns of Fuquay-Varina. A brother, Willie Burns of Hope Mills and a Sister, Rutell Williams of Charlotte, along with two grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 11am-12noon, prior to the service.
