Ronald Lester Gainey

Ronald Lester Gainey, 76, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 07, 2026 at 11am at Evans Metropolitan AME Zion Church. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda; his sisters, Gwendolyn Gainey Mullins of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Retha Gainey McDonald (Larry) of Rockingham, North Carolina; his brothers, Andre Gainey of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Michael Gainey (Evelyn) of Baltimore, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will also be fondly remembered by his stepdaughters, Tyfani Carrington (Desmond) of Houston, Texas, and Kristi Aery (Clarence) of Charlotte, North Carolina, their children and grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 06, 2026 from 5-7pm.
