Ronald "Ronnie " Lee Miles

Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Miles, 77 of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away in Cape Fear Valley Hospital on June 12,2024.

Ronald was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on July 21,1946 to Dorothy Carter Washington and Howard Lee Miles. He attended E.E. Smith High School where he excelled in history and baseball. After high school he earned an opportunity to attend a MLB camp to try out for the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team. Ronald also was an active member of several baseball leagues at Smith (Seabrook) Recreation Center.

 Ronald married Rosalyn Helena Simmons, and together they had 3 children, Rita Josette’ Miles, Ronald Rashad Miles, and Rico Lee Miles. Ronald is survived by his brothers Cornelius Miles and Anthony Carter, sisters Wendellyn Swager, Alina Hunt, Marjorie Bailey, Rita Overton (Dee), Aunts, Lucille Haigler, Margaret McLaurin and Joyce McLaurin and a host of cousins, nephews, and grandchildren. He was predeceased by father, Howard Lee Miles, brother Howard Miles and son Ronald Rashad Miles. There are no funeral arrangements planned as he did not wish to have any services.
