Rufus Felton Leggett

Rufus Felton Leggett, 72, of 2604 Keats Place, Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Carrolton of Fayetteville. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 12 noon at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park.

He is survived by sons, James Cook of Greensboro, Gregory Leggett of Raeford and LaKendrick Liles of Charlotte; a daughter, Tariva Liles of Fayetteville. Sisters, Dorothy Smith, Linda Hodges and Deborah Hatfield, all of Fayetteville; a brother, Alphonza Leggett of Kernersville, along with four grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 11am-12noon, prior to the service.
