Veolia M. (Morrison) Shelly

Veolia Shelly, 80, of 4191 Pecan Drive, Hope Mills, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

The book of Job declared the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Mother Veolia Morrison Shelly, affectionally known as "Kitty", moved from Church Militant to Church Triumph on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at  9:25pm surrounded by the love of those who were closest to her.

The services have been methodically arranged in order that those special to mother Shelly and her adored family can celebrate her life on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1pm at Beauty Spot Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Burial will be at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

Cherishing her memories are grandchildren, Apostle Jonathan Morrison, Ashley Walker, Vaughsean Morrison, Racheal Morrison, Anthony Willis, Rasheima Morrison, Terrance Ray, James Morrison, Candice Morrison, Gary Finch, Jaleesa Long, Apostle LaToya Powell, Randy Walker, Shaquille McFayden and Lakeisha Jones. Her bonus children, Milton Shelly, Robert Shelly, Jr., Dorothy McNeill and Bonita Austin; twenty-five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Sisters, Mable Wilkerson, Ida Hill and Sheila Thompson. Aunts, Flora A. Netcliff, Gertrude Morrison and Gertrude Talley, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7pm.
