Willie Melvin Flanigan, Sr.

Willie Melvin Flanigan, Sr., 72, of 401 McFadyen Drive, Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. 

Funeral services have been rescheduled and  will be conducted on Monday, Feburary 02, 2026 at 12 noon at Sperring Memorial Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Flanigan. A son, Willie Flanigan, Jr. of Fayetteville. Daughters, Nicki Flanigan Horne ( Azie Benjamin) of Atlanta, GA and Erica Flanigan Gray of Waldorf, MD. Brothers, Marvin Flanigan and Robert Flanigan, both of Athens, GA; a sister, Gloria Flanigan of Baltimore, MD, along with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 11-12noon, prior to the service.
