Mary Elizabeth Abernathy, 77, of 5855 Holland Street, Fayetteville died Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 12 noon at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Northside Cemetery.

She is survived by daughters, Valencia Shelby of New York, Nina Lassien of Texas, and Maria Robinson of Fayettevile. Sons, Anthony Evans, Joshua Fannin and Curtis Robinson all of Fayetteville. Sisters, Josephine Evans and Ruby Evans both of Fayetteville. Eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
