I want the family of Mr. Spell to know that I am sorry for their loss. When the death of a loved one occurs, mixed emotion surface. Often time we depend on the comfort we receive from others to help us through the ordeal. The greatest help and comfort we can receive comes from the God of all tender mercies and all comfort. By means of his written word we can receive the strength we need to cope. The Bible provides words of comfort and hope. At Psalm 46:1 we are told that God can become a safe haven for us in that He can helps us through all our distress. We also receive hope of seeing our dead loved one again when we reflect on the resurrection hope taught in the Bible. Jesus himself promised that all in the grave would hear his voice and come out. At Acts 24:15 we read that there is going to be a resurrection of the death. Then at John 11:25, 39-44 Jesus provides a preview of what he will do in the near future to reunite the dead with their loved ones here on a cleansed earth. Yes may you reflect on these wonderful truths contained in the Bible and be comforted.
