Prayers and condolences to the Hodges and Garrett family. Mrs. Garrett was my 7th grade gym teacher at Redshaw Jr. High School (NJ) in 1977. She was "real" and serious about our being educated and good people. Mrs. Garrett especially made certain young ladies were representative of finer womanhood. Well done Mrs. Garrett!

The loss of a sister has to be extremely hard. The loss of anyone that we love is hard. Can you imagine how God felt when he lost his only begotten son? He must have been pained deeply. Yet he loved us so much that he gave his only begotten son for us. (John 3:16) By this love we know that he did not want us to have a life filled with pain, mourning, death, and outcry. He is a happy God and that is why he created a Paradise for us to live in. The first Adam lost it for us and passed on to us sin and death (Romans 5:12) the last Adam, Jesus Christ is a life giver. (1Corinthians 15:45) This assures us of everlasting life through his ransom sacrifice. Won't we be happy when we can welcome back Cynthia and death will be no more? (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:1-4) This is my hope for you and your loved one. May you have comfort from the scriptures and the assurance of a happier time.
