John B. Grimes, 70, of 2336 John McMillian Road, Hope Mills, died Monday, March 13, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 12 noon at Second New Light Baptist Church in St. Pauls. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia Grimes of the home. Sons, Michael Grimes and John Grimes, Jr. both of Greensboro and Lamont Grimes of Fayetteville. Daughters, Kimberly Carter of Charlotte and Nydia Grimes of Hope Mills. Sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
