Paul Lawrence Walters, 66, of Newark, NJ, formerly of Wade, NC died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Walters was born on Sept. 2, 1950, to the late Clifton Tommy and the late Rev. Sis. Marie McKeithan Walters. He was an independent truck driver and an Army veteran.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11am at St Luke AME Church in Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park..

He is survived by a daughter, Regina Autry of Hope Mills. Sisters, Christine McDuffie of Newark, NJ and Eliza Chance of Fayetteville and two grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
