Ms. Jarrell was my third grade teacher at Gentry Elementary School. She was one of the best teachers ever. Years later, she attended our 8th grade class reunion, now that was such a honor for us. RIP, you will be missed.

Mrs Jarrell was my third grade teacher at Gentry in Erwin NC. She always encouraged me and was my favorite teacher. Although we hadn't been in touch in years I never forgot her. She will always be in my heart.

Mrs. Jarrell was my third grade teacher when she taught at Gentry Elementary School Erwin, NC. She was a nurturing but demanding teacher. I am saddened that such a great teacher has transitioned. Her influence impacted my life that I became a teacher as well. What a blessing! Her memories will sustain us as time goes on.

Blessings of peace!

I just learned of Pecolia's passing today. I was sadden when I heard of her home-going. Pecolia was a wonderful person. I met her while working with her sister Valarie. She always made me feel welcome and at home when I stopped by to visit. Her presence will certainly be missed.
Love,
Barbara Anderson Melvin

So sorry to hear Ms Pecolia's passing. She honored her life with her zeal for teaching. You have to love children to stay in the profession as long as you did. We honor your life. The scriptures that tells us"It is better to go to the house of mourning", applies to the name you made for yourself. RIP .

Miss Jarrell was my third grade teacher at Gentry Primary School in Erwin. She was one of the best teachers a student could have. As a youngster, I could see and feel the love she had for her students. She lovingly demanded nothing less than the best for us. It was not surprising to see her attending churches that her students and their families attended and visiting their homes. She was one of the prettiest ladies I have ever known. I have been blessed to see her several times throughout the years and she impacted me the same beautiful way each time. As a former high school counselor and elementary principal, I often talked about her influence on my life. I am saddened by her transition but I know God has a special place in Heaven for beautiful teachers such as her. Rest In Paradise, Miss Jarrell. You were my story; you were my song. I'll love you forever! #mycelebrity
